    Description

    Used white,
    PORCELAIN
lid is in excellent condition EXCEPT FOR
Some light scratches on top that arrow is pointing at in last 2 photos.
*BE SURE TO MEASURE BOTTOM OF LID, THERE ARE SOME OTHER VITRAS WITH SIMILAR SHAPE BUT DIFFERENT SIZE, TYPE VITRA INTO STORE SEARCH BOX TO SEE THEM.
I have discovered various numbers in this sized Vitra tank: 6853 6973 6943
This "Vitra #3" lid has greatest outer measures on the bottom approx. 18.25 x 8.25
    And comes off a tank approx 17.25 x 7.75
THIS IS A #3 LID (see chart below to compare to other Vitra lids and tanks)
** As you can see by the extra photos that Vitra made different sizes with similar shape. I have numbered them 1, 2, 3, and 4 as they get bigger.
    They do not interchange
despite the fact they are similar in size and shape. Use the chart below to determine which number you have. Please order correct number by SIZE.
    LID                              TANK
    #1 18 x 7          fits tank   17 x 6.5
    #2 18 x 7.5       fits tank    17.25 x 7
    #3 18.25 x 8.25 fits tank    17.25 x 7.75
    #4 18 x 10         fits tank       ?
So measure the top of your tank to figure if a 1,2,3, OR 4
***I have discovered 6853 stamped in #2 tank and also in #3 tank, so do not automatically buy a #2 or #3 based on that number. Go by the measurements!
****Over the years I have discovered that Vitra #3 tanks can vary slightly in the inner wall measure from front to back at the top which can be a problem for the "back tabs" of a replacement lid fitting into that snug area, so I have chiseled off these tabs as you can see in photos. I then filed that area so no sharp edges. Lid is still stable, no cracks are created by this process, the tabs chisel off easily.
Please email to discuss before purchase to make sure ordering correct lid.
Lid will be carefully boxed in styrofoam for safe shipping.

Good Reasons to buy a replacement lid:
PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING FOR BUYING A REPLACEMENT LID BEFORE SPENDING A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY ON A NEW TOILET:
*At the click of a button your replacement lid will arrive at your door in 1-3 business days from UPS and save you considerable time and likely money compared to replacing a toilet and disposing of the old one.
*Quality new toilets are 0 and up. Minimum 1 hour driving and shopping for new toilet. Minimum 1 hour replacing toilet if no problems. Minimum1 hour disposal of old toilet. Plumber labor for install 0 plus marked up price of toilet.
*The base of the bowl of your existing discontinued toilet may leave a “footprint” on the existing floor and may lead to recarpeting or retiling.
*Your existing discontinued toilet may have been painted around in years past and installing a new shaped toilet may lead to repainting the entire bathroom.
    * Installing a newer, smaller flush toilet may lead to sewer and septic problems or require two or more flushes every time to get waste all the way gone and not backing up.
*Plumbing and rough in problems may arise, disposal of the old toilet may be a problem, overall dimensions of a new toilet may be an issue, colors of new toilets may not match sink and tub, antique themed bathrooms or brand name themes may not retain their theme anymore after putting a cheap new toilet in and decrease the value of your home, etc.
*Keep all house toilets the same model if you can.
*Buying a new cheap toilet gets you a weak toilet, likely needing two flushes. If your toilet is a gem of an older big flush toilet save it while you can.
*The price of items at ToiletsAndStuff depends on rarity, condition, supply and demand, shipping costs, amount of packaging, etc.
