    Starrett Divider is
    in very good condition and fully functional. There is a previous owner's name marked on one of the dividers' legs .
    The item has been stored in a tool chest/cabinet for a while.
    This Toolmakers' Spring-Type Divider with Round Legs and Solid Nut are the finest tools of their type. Designed for draftsmen, toolmakers, machinists and students . Precision made to rigid Starrett standards throughout. Approximate capacity of opening of points is 3/16 to 3 inches. It is made with rounds legs & with two small chucks, 0.086 hole diameters, for holding the steel points and pencil lead. The distance from the fulcrum to scriber points is about 3.25 inches.
    Divider is finish with a bright nickel plate.
