    Description

Up for offer is a RARE 1st Generation (Rabbit Ear) IBM Selectric Typewriter FONT BALL Element SCRIBE #001
    - 88-Character Selectric I/II elements only.
(also known as a Golfball). Number on element (#001) suggest it is the first in a series?  1st generation goldballs are rare to find. This one produced only between 1960 and 1965 when IBM Selectric first came out, so this is a true original. The "rabbit ear" design
was the first and simplest design, just a bent wire held in place by a plastic half-cap and was the most durable design. What's also great about this design, and what some collectors are doing, is it can be transferred to another golfball by
pulling the top off of a First-Generation ball and use that rabbit-ear clip for all of your topless typeballs. (2nd and 3rd gen)
The condition of this ball overall is very good. It appears to be in great shape other then one missing tooth. The rabbit ears function as they should.  No other missing or broken parts. (other then what is noted)
This auction also comes with red container connector and a clear storage cap?
This is a must have for you collectors.
